Thomas Melendez from Venezuela is available to book for fun Salsa andLatin Dance workshops. Thomas teaches all styles of authentic South American Dance in a fun and dynamic way. Through this style of dance students learn to:

  • appreciate an aspect of another culture in an active and fun way
  • develop co-ordination and social skills
  • understand musical timing in Latin styles of dance

Thomas Melendez is a professional dance instructor and director of his own Salsa dance company. He performs and teaches both locally and internationally, has appeared on BBC Strictly Dance Fever as well as choreographing his own. professional Salsa Dance Team.

Fully CRB checked, First Aid Certificate, Leadership in Dance Diploma.

How are the workshops organised?

The workshops are carefully structured based on 20 years experience of working with young people of all ages.

Students can learn the salsa steps quickly and feel a sense of achievement and excitement as they dance along to the Latin rhythms.

Workshops can be organised to suit your timetable or session from hourly to half and full day events. Special rates offered for block bookings.

Thomas has worked for the community for the past four years in Cheltenham and Gloucester organising and appearing in a number of events including The Montpellier Fiesta, Gloucester Quays and numerous multi-cultural events at a range of Gloucestershire's and London's primary, secondary and independent schools and universities.  Thomas teaches merengue, salsa and bachata and specially tailors the workshop to the specific age group.
